The Bridges - Hull is a residential rehabilitation in the heart of Hull owned by The Forward Trust. For over 20 years the service has provided residential care and treatment for people with drug and/or alcohol issues, helping to change the lives of hundreds of individuals.
Our ‘two-stage treatment’ model runs from as short as 12 weeks to as long as 24 weeks. The programme is based on the 12-step model and features a range of individual and group activities including therapy, counselling, meditation, study groups, and social activities.
Friendly, non-judgemental, professional support is delivered from people who understand addiction and recovery and ensures that each client has their individual needs catered for.
Accommodation at The Bridges - Hull is safe, secure, and ensures privacy when needed. We also have communal spaces for clients to socialise in, such as a TV lounge, fully equipped gym, and a spacious dining room.
The Bridges - Hull can accommodate up to 19 people at any one time, and men and women occupy separate wings of the building.
Our treatment is divided into two stages. The first is geared towards addressing substance use and associated behaviour, and the second stage of treatment focuses on empowering the client to re-engage with the community.
We have recently made changes to the length of our treatment programmes to adapt to the individual needs of our clients. Each programme is now a minimum of 12 weeks for the primary stage of treatment, then a flexible number of weeks for the secondary stage (up to 12 weeks). The whole treatment lasts for a maximum of 24 weeks but can be adapted for those who are ready to leave the programme earlier.
