I’m so grateful to the Housing and Resettlement Team at The Forward Trust for all they’ve done for me. I now look forward to the future. Asma, Housing Client
We provide expert housing advice, supporting individuals with housing applications, in-reach support, and homelessness prevention through tenancy sustainment.
Our teams work closely with Private Rented Sector (PRS) landlords and offer tenant-matching for people on probation, in recovery, or seeking general housing support.
Currently, we offer accommodation support in:
We frequently expand into new areas, so it is always worth getting in touch for our supported living services across the UK. Email us at: forwardtrusthousing@forwardtrust.org.uk or send us an enquiry.
We also provide specific housing support for individuals on probation. This service is not dependent on recovery status. It helps those in the criminal justice system to access and maintain suitable housing.
Our approach is trauma-informed and person-centred. We work closely with individuals to identify their unique needs and provide tailored housing support and interventions. Through a mix of one-to-one support, group interventions, and peer mentoring, we help clients access safe, long-term, supported accommodation and prevent homelessness.
In South Wales our Camau Service also provides pre- and post-release assessment and support.
Forward provides furnished living accommodation for people who are abstinent and in recovery, often having just left a residential rehabilitation or detox setting. Designed for those who need more freedom than supported housing − but aren't quite ready to live independently − our accommodation provides a safe and stable environment, empowering individuals to build a secure foundation for their future.
We have accommodation in Kent, Medway and Southend-on-Sea, Essex. We frequently expand into new areas, so it’s always worth checking back for new Forward locations.
We recognise that recovery is a journey with bumps in the road, and at Forward we believe in second chances.
In addition, not everyone who needs accommodation will be fully abstinent. We know that stable accommodation helps a successful transition to full abstinence from drugs and alcohol.
Our temporary living accommodation is for people proactively working towards recovery and willing to engage with substance use services. With the aim of eventually moving into one of our abstinence-based houses (or dry houses). Ideally, it’s someone on a low script, proactively engaging with services, and willing to attend our hub day programmes.
We currently have supported living accommodation in Kent and Medway.
We also offer dedicated accommodation and housing support for ex-offenders and people who are working with probation. We recognise that secure and stable accommodation is key to rehabilitation and moving forward.
We have available accommodation in the Kent and Essex areas. Referrals are made directly through probation services.
Whether you're in recovery, on probation, or seeking housing advice, Forward Housing delivers bespoke solutions tailored to your needs.
