Talk to us

Many people at The Forward Trust have experienced the heartache of losing someone close to them through addiction, homelessness and social disadvantage. It’s a tough place to be but please know that you’re not on your own. We are truly sorry for your loss.

When you start to consider how you’d like to honour your special someone’s life, you may feel that in memory giving is a meaningful way to celebrate them and create a lasting tribute. If you’re ready to make that happen, we will support you through this and we hope you find great comfort in supporting The Forward Trust in memory of your special someone.

How can you do this?

  • Leave a dedication

Remember your loved one by sharing memories, photos, or making a donation on our dedication page. This space allows you to reflect, celebrate their life, and support others in need.

Visit the Dedication Page.

  • Create an online tribute

We’ve partnered with MuchLoved to help you create a beautiful online tribute where you can share stories, videos, and photos with family and friends. You can also link memorial events, such as fundraising activities or services, to your tribute page.

  • Funeral collections and donations in lieu of flowers

You may wish to request donations in place of flowers at your loved one's funeral. Many funeral directors can arrange this as part of their service.

  • An online funeral page allows people to leave messages, make donations, and share service details. You can create your own page below:

  • Fundraise in memory

Fundraising in memory of a loved one or significant other is a thoughtful way to honour their legacy while supporting life-changing addiction recovery and rehabilitation services.

You could:

  • Host a coffee morning, quiz, or charity auction.
  • Take part in a running, cycling, or endurance event.
  • Organise a community fundraiser that brings people together.

  • Bereavement support

Grief is a personal and often overwhelming experience, but you are not alone. Here are some resources that may help:
