About HMP Rye Hill

HMP Rye Hill is a Category C training prison for men in Warwickshire. It is privately owned and managed by G4S.


Our programmes and services

We offer a range of psychosocial interventions to help clients address their substance use in HMP Rye Hill.

Our services include:

  • ‘Brief Intervention Programme for Alcohol’ (BIPA) - a programme designed to help individuals manage alcohol use or abstinence effectively.
  • Workshops and short courses on different topics such as substance awareness, health and wellbeing, social skills, coping and resilience, problem solving, decision making, and impulsivity.
  • Therapeutic groups such as acupuncture and gardening.
  • ‘The Bridge Programme’ – an intensive and abstinence-based programme focusing on the journey to recovery and long-term treatment.
  • Co-facilitation of fellowship meetings such as Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and Narcotics Anonymous (NA).

 

Referrals

Any prisoner can refer themselves (‘self-refer’) via the prison’s CMS service. We also accept referrals from third parties. We also accept referrals from third parties. This could include another member of staff within the prison, anyone involved in their care that is based in the community, or family members/friends. All prisoners are seen as part of their induction.
