Famed for its successful track record and high-profile alumni, Clouds House is a beautiful Grade II listed house offering a long-respected residential rehabilitation service.
Owned by The Forward Trust, ‘Clouds’ – as it is fondly known by those who stay there - is one of the most trusted places of recovery from addiction in the UK.
Clouds House is a secluded residential addiction treatment centre in Wiltshire – around 25 minutes' drive from Salisbury and two hours from London.
At Clouds House, we take recovery seriously. It is our job to create the right conditions for people to carry out the courageous work needed to heal and recover. We provide our clients and those connected to them, with trauma informed care, human warmth and kindness, dignity and respect, and will do our utmost to ensure that our clients feel valued, understood and heard.
Set in a grade II listed building in the beautiful Wiltshire countryside, Clouds House can accommodate up to 36 clients at any one time, and it welcomes residents of any gender identity. As far as possible, we want Clouds House to feel like a home-from-home to help residents feel relaxed and safe during their life-changing stay.
Inside Clouds, our clients will find plenty space to enjoy time-out, complete recovery focussed assignments and sessions, as well as communal areas to spend time with others. Our fully catered kitchen is run by an on-site chef team who, at times, prepare food from the kitchen garden, which is tended to by clients seasonally.
From the first point of contact you will be supported by a 25 strong team of experts in their fields. All of our therapeutic and medical services are underpinned by clinical proficiency and expertise.
Those admitted to Clouds House will have access to an individualised, person centred care plan alongside an intensive and highly structured treatment programme comprising of interpersonal group therapy, individual counselling, psychoeducation, and workshops, holistic therapies, art therapy, equine facilitated learning, finance and welfare support and assistance with onward recovery planning including further treatment, aftercare and housing.
At Clouds House, we are proud to blend clinically robust and evidence-based practice with a bespoke set of evidence-based interventions, informed by leading researchers stemming over 40 years.
At Clouds House, residents have the opportunity to understand their patterns by engaging in the core aspect of our programme: interpersonal, evidence-based group therapy. This provides a rich space for residents to begin to recover from the potential isolation and discord caused by addiction. Residents will also learn about why they may have suffered in the ways they have from this life-threatening illness, which in turn we hope will bring some self-compassion.
The treatment is facilitated by a multi-disciplinary team which provides a psychologically safe learning environment in which clients can gain valuable insights into their relationship with themselves, others, and the substances or behaviours related to their addiction.
