Adult Skills Fund, Training and Jobs (STJ) Pathway

What is the STJ Pathway?

The Adult Skills Fund, Training and Jobs pathway aims to find rewarding careers for people who live in Kent or Medway. The pathway offers a face-to-face and remote three-week training programme, alongside voluntary one-to-one career support from a qualified employment coach that extends past that period (up to three months).   We are judged Good by Ofsted (2023).

Accredited qualifications available include:

  • Employability (Entry Level 3, Levels 1, Level 2 and 3).

  • Functional Skills in Mathematics (Level 1).

  • Wellbeing (Level 1).

Additional access to this service includes:  

  • Careers advice and information. 

  • Spotlight sessions with employers to find out more about their relevant sectors.

  • Guaranteed job or apprenticeship interviews with employers.

  • Tailored job and apprenticeship searches.

  • Intensive employability coaching.

This STJ pathway is funded by the Education and Skills Funding Agency’s non-devolved Adult Education Budget.

 

Who do we help?

This programme is for people who:

  • Live in Kent or Medway.

  • Are aged at least 19 or over.

  • Are currently unemployed.
