A number of staff at The Brink, Liverpool have direct lived experience of recovery from drugs, alcohol and/or gambling. This knowledge and experience ensures that all staff – whether in the cafe or in the support services – will have compassion and understanding for anyone that comes through its doors.
Support staff are trained and employed by The Forward Trust.
The Brink Café offers locally sourced coffee (Adams & Russell), a wide selection of teas and hot drinks, delicious smoothies, refreshing non alcoholic cocktails, juices and soft drinks.
The Brink specialises in breakfast, brunch and lunch options, with a range of food choices to suit all tastes – including creamy mushroom sourdough, seasonal soups, cheese toasties and a selection of cakes.
We also offer a ‘Pay It Forward’ scheme, allowing customers to leave money behind the till so we can provide free coffees to those who need them.
All proceeds from The Brink – whether it’s a coffee or brunch in the café or making a regular donation – will benefit the wider Merseyside recovery community.
Friendly and welcoming, The Brink provides a socially inclusive environment for anyone wanting to find out more about support services for substance use, family support, or just to enjoy freshly prepared food.
